A Soldier of God

A City Built on Christian Stewardship

Christians know where we are in history according to the sign of the times, which the Bible describes as the “End of Days”.  We know Christ can come back before you finish reading this or 10-15 or more years from now.  Prophecy tells us that when Israel became a country again in 1948 that, “this generation will not pass” until Christ’s return to set up his Kingdom.

So what did Jesus mean when He referred to "this generation"? He could not have meant that current generation of His day. They died without seeing all the events leading to His return. The obvious meaning, then, is that He could only have meant the generation of the last days.

Jesus knew that the course of end-time events would not continue indefinitely. Once they were set in motion, all would occur within the lifetime of one generation. Only one generation will witness all the mounting global conditions described in God's Word. That generation will see the arrival of the specific 3 1/2-year period that will mark the end of "this present evil age" and usher in the Kingdom of God.

"The end of all things is at hand," the apostle Peter declared in his first letter. This is a theme that runs throughout Scripture. Our Lord himself and also the prophets and the apostles made frequent mention of his return to earth in power and glory at the end of time. In light of this truth, the Christian's responsibility is to be alert and watchful, to be found walking in faith when Christ returns.

Matthew 24:42-46
42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.  44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.  45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?  46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Christian need to be “found so doing” what?

Christians need to be preaching the gospel to the entire world, being salt of the earth and wise stewards of God’s creation, when Jesus comes back for His church.

This is the very Spiritual essence of Destiny Florida.

Destiny is a commitment to change the world…Gods Way…A prototype for future cities, Destiny will be a forward-thinking community operating with minimal impact on the environment and a hub where the latest clean technology innovations will emerge.

It is a city where the core beliefs are Kingdom Building.  Land for about sixty churches has been set aside, where schools will be built side by side with churches.  This will ensure that the children will have a faith based core of Christian principals.  They will grow up with a moral compass installed in their very fiber, which will always point to God and His way of life.  This is a tremendous opportunity for Christians to show the world, what can be accomplished when God’s way of life is the foundation of a city.  If Jesus Christ returns before, during or after Destiny is completed then we will be found “ so doing”.
